This lovely city street is aptly named after Francisco Sánchez, a Californio politician, military officer, and ranchero from the early to mid-1800s. Sanchez street runs from Dolores all the way south climbing the hills and valleys of Castro and Noe ending on Randall. You can actually visit Francisco Sanchez’s final resting place and headstone at the Mission Dolores Church.
