Meet Layla DeVoss – San Francisco Real Estate Agent

I’m really excited to introduce you to Layla DeVoss, Realtor® at Legacy Real Estate. We are lucky to have Layla on board as a trusted advisor. Whether you are a first-time homebuyer, just starting to look into loan options, or need help understanding a disclosures package, you will be in good hands. We sat down with Layla to find out a little bit more about her history.

Where are you from?

My early days were spent in Santa Monica, California.

How long have you lived in San Francisco?

My formative adult years have all been spent in San Francisco. I’ve lived in a variety of neighborhoods but I now call Lower Haight / Duboce Triangle home and am deeply familiar with the Bayview district after launching Fox & Lion Bread with my partner Xan.

What did you do before real estate?

I was a Sephora buyer and entrenched in retail merchandising and beauty spaces. If you are ever looking for product recommendations, I’d be happy to share my favorites.

What got you interested in real estate?

I have loved real estate for as long as I can remember. It started joining my Mother on open houses and has now evolved into the art of negotiation and writing a winning offer.

What do you love about where you live?

I love the diversity of people and cultures in San Francisco. We also have some of the best food! Homeowners in San Francisco are spoiled with access to a wide variety of great outdoor activities (Tahoe, beaches, camping). The list goes on and on. I also appreciate the cooler climate (I don’t mind the fog!).

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I was named after the Eric Clapton song, Layla. It was my Dad’s favorite song and it always brings a smile to my face. I grew up with a lot of music in the house. My Dad was a drummer too.
